An espresso and a halved lemon on a terracotta table beside a sunlit window over the sea

MARÉE

café au bord de la mer

Coffee at the edge of the sea — sea salt, citrus, warm butter, and the slow rhythm of the tide.

01 — Maison

Le rythme
de la marée.

We open before the heat, when the light is still low and the harbour is quiet. The ovens are already warm; the first café crème goes out to a regular who never orders.

MARÉE keeps the unhurried hours of a coastal town. Mornings belong to viennoiserie and strong espresso; the long midday to citrus tarts, cold brew, and the blue line of the sea. Everything moves with the tide — in, out, again.

Nothing here is in a rush. Neither, for an hour, are you.

02 — La Carte

Café & Boulangerie

Beans roasted gently in Marseille; butter churned in Normandy. Prices in euro, served all day.

Golden butter croissants, a citrus tart, and an espresso on linen

03 — La Mer

Une terrasse,
face au large.

Lime-washed walls, linen cushions warmed by the sun, terracotta underfoot. The terrace looks straight onto the water — close enough to hear it, far enough to forget the time.

Come for the first coffee. Stay until the tide turns.

04 — L'Artisanat

i.

Torréfaction douce

A light-medium roast, coaxed slow so the bean keeps its citrus and sea-air brightness. Single-origin lots from the Mediterranean rim, ground to order.

ii.

Beurre de Normandie

AOP butter, 84% fat, folded into every croissant by hand. Twenty-seven layers, an overnight rest, and a fierce, honest oven do the rest.

iii.

Sel & citron

Sea salt drawn from the coast and lemons from the terraces above the bay. The two notes that run through everything we make.
